This week is unbelievable.
Let me just recount it with you.
Monday was my first time speaking for assembly on the track.
In Chinese.
Yeah, go ahead, i'll let you laugh for a few minutes. Anyone who knows me, knows that i can't speak chinese for dear life. Well, i did already have one chinese week before this, but that was different - it was PA! So anyway, i spent Sunday worrying, trying to practise and dreading it, as well as trying to get on with finishing my speech, which was major failure because i also had to finish loads of work- two projects, two graded assignments, a test to be done at home, tests to study for, worksheets to be handed in, and maybe, if i had managed to magically finish all that, then i could start with ting xie.
As usual, Sundays were never productive for me.
Somehow i had luck on Monday. Assembly went great, people even said I sounded confident, and good! Like MAJOR RELIEF.
Anyway, that day wasn't very good. Every second its just bombardment of all the worries about the days coming, slowly trickling by.
Exco had a meeting about Sing Singapore @ St Nicks which is gonna be this friday, and then we three found out that we're gonna emcee the event. Which was quite a bombshell cos we all knew that this week is already super packed. And, i think i'll suck at emceeing! (Along with it comes with the planning, as well as rehearsals, and lots of time taken up..)
Then there was training after that, and guitar lessons after that. So basically when i was home, and ready to start studying, i was just so exhausted. But what can you do? Theres just so much to be done. I think i slept quite late. You don't wanna know how late.
Tues was Speech day. But i didn't feel that nervous at all. It's a bit weird.
Anyway, Speech went really well! When it was the parts where they were supposed to laugh, they really did! :D
But Chinese really had to spoil it all. I messed up big time saying announcements! :(
Then Martha and I had to stay back again for the Nat Day planning. Till quite late. And that was the time left for studying for Physics test the next day, which was today.
Then i slept really late again. Like really really really late that i cant tell you how late it was :/ I think less than 6hrs for both days accumulated :/
Well. Chinese announcements wasn't too bad today. At least i didn't screw up as badly as i did yest!
Anyway I've got to go do stop now to do some work, but i have to tell you waht a relief it is that the physics test is over! Felt a little flighty after that, though there was training after. (no pun intended. Hah)
I hope my posts in the future won't be as boring as this!
